It can be tough to find a quiet moment in the chaos of family life.
My favorite suggestion for encouraging daily prayer and helping kids recognize a need for quiet time involves designating a special chair as the "prayer chair" or a shawl/blanket for use anywhere.
If it is known that anyone sitting in *this* chair or anyone wrapped in *this* blanket is praying quietly and is not to be disturbed, with practice you may find a bit more quiet in your day AND your children may begin taking advantage of the same chair/blanket.
Note: It can be helpful to have suggested activities nearby to occupy children while they wait for quiet time to come to an end.
How do you find quiet time in the midst of giggly, wiggly kids? Where is your prayer space? Share your wisdom and we'll all grow good fruit...
